Studying Further Maths can also help by introducing some of the ideas which you would meet at the beginning of university courses. You may of course prefer to keep a broader spread of subjects at A level, taking Maths but not Further Maths. At almost every university in the UK this will not in any way affect your chances of being admitted to a degree programme in maths or related disciplines. However, a very small number of universities, no more than two or three, expect you to take Further Maths if it is available to you.
