Finding a job

Leaving university and starting work may seem like a daunting prospect, but it is also a time of excitement and challenge. Some people will already have a good idea of what they want to do next and may even have a job waiting for them. Others may not be so sure and might have several ideas to play with. And some may have no idea at all what their next step should be.

Sooner or later, however, almost all graduates will be faced with the same problems: Where to find jobs, how to apply for them, how to write a good CV, how to cope with interviews.

But these things need not be as difficult and worrying as they seem-after all, people are doing it successfully all the time. And maths graduates have the added advantage that, due to low numbers, they are currently in high demand in the workplace.

Below are a few links that can help you with your job hunting. If you don't yet know what kind of job you're interested in, then check out the work experience links on the bottom of the page.
