MathsCareers Advisers
This site is a resource to provide a single starting point for those wishing to know where studying mathematics can lead. The website has a particular focus on young people between the age of 11 and 19.
This section of the site provides a range of resources, information and signposting to help those working in careers to provide comprehensive and up to date information, advice and guidance on the wide range of careers where mathematics plays a significant role.
At the heart of this site is the maths community and their professional organisations. By combining the resources of the Institute of Mathematics and its Applications, the London Mathematical Society, and the Royal Statistical Society these organisations have been able to provide a valuable source of advice and information as a single site.
Careers and real life contexts that draw on maths are not always visible in the school curriculum, but resources that set maths in context are growing. The STEM Subject Choice and Careers project (funded by DCSF) aims to support careers professionals and teachers with relevant, up to date information, resources and professional development to enthuse and inform pupils.

Websites worth noting
The Future Morph website is designed to help 11-19 year olds explore the opportunities science and maths can offer. The careers staff section includes the Careers Information Resource Pack. This pack has been developed on behalf of the DCSF by VT Enterprise and The Centre for Science Education as part of the STEM Subject Choice and Careers project. You can register to receive free resources form the project by emailing info@careersinstem.co.uk
The careers staff section of Future Morph contains a wide range of useful information and references for careers advisers to draw from to support and inspire students about careers relating to and from STEM subjects.
Plus Magazine is an online maths journal for schools with a wide range of articles and a number of profiles of people who use maths in a wide range of careers.

Connexions Direct includes Mathematics and Statistics with Science in job families - but there are many other families that include mathematics and statistics.
